Ganjar Pranowo Has Experience Developing MSMEs, It's Time For National Level

JAKARTA - Social observer from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Hempri Suyatna, gave a positive assessment of the PDIP presidential candidate, Ganjar Pranowo in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). According to him, Ganjar's track record as Governor of Central Java shows innovative innovation and significant impact.

"I see that from the development of MSMEs there are innovations carried out by Mr. Ganjar. E-commerce innovations, for example Lapak Ganjar, touch on marketing," said Hempri in a written statement, Tuesday (26/9/2023).

Hempri highlighted various innovations implemented by Ganjar, such as the Lapak Ganjar program which provides a new touch in e-commerce marketing.

Apart from that, there is also a gradual MSME training program as well as easy access to banking through the lapak credit program.

Hempri believes that these innovations have the potential to be implemented nationally. Apart from that, he emphasized that the innovation carried out by Ganjar was an important part of the poverty alleviation program.

It is hoped that the sustainability of these programs will help MSMEs to develop and improve their class.

Hempri also provided suggestions for the government to create its own e-commerce platform to support MSMEs. "I hope that in the future the government can create its own e-commerce to accommodate MSMEs. I think if the government has its own, stronger e-commerce, it will be more attractive," he said.

Hempri added that the Lapak Ganjar program has proven effective in helping market MSME products. He hopes that this program can continue because it has great potential in advancing the local economy.

Ganjar is known to have made a number of breakthroughs to encourage the growth of MSMEs in his region during his ten years as Governor of Central Java.

Apart from Lapak Ganjar, Ganjar also opens access to capital through cheap credit with very low interest. This credit is a pioneer of low interest rates in Indonesia and opens up access to financing for business capital for ultramicro, micro and start-up entrepreneurs.

Ganjar also encourages the growth of a digital economic ecosystem based on MSMEs, by making a breakthrough in the form of Hetero Space. Since 2020-2022, Hetero Space Jateng, which is located in Semarang, Surakarta and Banyumas, has trained more than 60,000 participants.

This development is carried out by the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs, as well as collaborating with large marketplaces to develop MSMEs to be more advanced and independent. Ganjar's various efforts for small businesses through people's business credit have won the Best Province Award for People's Business Credit Management from the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy three times in a row in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

To encourage the uptake of local products in government spending, Ganjar also launched the Blangkon Jateng application in 2021. Until 2023, the total direct shopping transactions of Central Java Online Shops or Blangkon Jateng will reach IDR 545.7 billion.
