JAKARTA - Head of Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Abdul Muhari confirmed that former Head of BNPB Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Doni Monardo was being treated intensively. "He is being treated," said Abdul Muhari in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, September 22. He did not explain further about what illness Doni Monardo suffered, the development of his condition, and where he received treatment. Because, he said, until now there has been no permission from Doni Monardo's family to convey health developments. "We pray for a speedy recovery," said Abdul Muhari. Doni Monardo served as Head of BNPB from the 2019-2021 period. During his career at BNPB, he was the first to form a Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 during the pandemic, which was the Task Force for Handling COVID-19. In his leadership, jargon “ Kita Jaga Alam, Alam Jaga Kita” was echoed as one of the disaster mitigation efforts.
