Iriana Invites Jogja Residents To Create Composion Fertilizers

JAKARTA - First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and a number of members of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM) invite the public to make compost from organic waste in the household.

The invitation was conveyed by the First Lady when making compost with a number of PKK representatives, Dekranasda, and environmental activists in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).

"Let's start posting garbage in our respective homes, are you ready, Mom?" Iriana asked before starting the making of joint compost which was carried out in the courtyard of the Sono Art building, the area of the Great Building of the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace, Yogyakarta City, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 19.

Iriana said that making compost is an important activity to do. This is part of the implementation of a minimal waste lifestyle.

"As part of building a minimal lifestyle of garbage and so that Indonesia remains clean and beautiful like all mothers," said Iriana.

Irianas had time to convey a number of questions to mothers who took part in making compost. Iriana asked about the type of garbage in the house that can be used as compost.

"Call all kinds of garbage at home that can be compensated for?" asked Iriana enthusiastically, the mothers who wanted to answer the question.

"Yes, vegetables, fruits, and leftover food that have been washed," said Iriana, recitating the answers from mothers.

Previously, Iriana and the members of OASE KIM also planted Kepel or stelechocarpus burahol in Sono Art Building Park. Not only planting trees, Iriana and OAGE KIM also handed over 1,000 mango tree seedlings for the DIY area.
