National Police Chief Reminds Policewomen's Role In The 2024 Election Cooling System

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the policewomen's 75th Anniversary celebration event at Bareskrim Polri, reminded the ranks of female police (Polwan) regarding their role in the rolling system for the 2024 election which is currently being carried out by the Police.

"Coaling system activities have been formed and I think this is where Polwan colleagues with the character of colleagues who have this specificity will be very suitable. And of course this can encourage the efforts to cooling the Police system to run better." said Sigitdilansir ANTARA, Wednesday, September 13.

According to the National Police Chief, with the role of Polwan as a cooling system in the election, it can avoid divisions in the community.

In accordance with the theme of the 75th Anniversary of the Policewomen promoted by the 'Polri Precision for the Country, Policewomen Ready to Support the Peaceful Election Towards an Advanced Indonesia', Sigit emphasized that, Polwan must take an important role in realizing a safe and smooth democratic party.

"I think it is a very precise theme and indeed this is a challenge for the National Police at this time to work together on all the strengths they have, how to realize and welcome peaceful elections which are certainly hopes for the whole community," said Sigit.

Because, he said, the current situation is in a condition that must really be maintained together with all existing strengths, whether the election will make Indonesia run on the spot or jump towards a future as a good nation.

General Sigit explained that the experience of previous elections, differences of opinion, views, and choices are certain things to happen. However, the most important of all is that all police personnel must be able to maintain and maintain the unity and integrity of the Indonesian nation.

Because, said Sigit, by continuing to maintain unity and integrity, it can realize the vision towards Indonesia Gold in 2045. On the other hand, if something happens that interferes with kamtibmas, it will be difficult to realize this vision.

However, he continued, if there is a big split, it will have an impact on setbacks and this of course will not only have a short-term impact. But then it will be long-term because various new problems arise.

The demographic bonus that we hope we can take advantage of. So that this can really encourage Indonesia to get out of the middle income trap, the hope is like that. But this can also be a demographic disaster if we are not ready," said Sigit.

At the end of his mandate, Sigit also reminded the important role of Polwan in maintaining public trust in the Polri institution which has increased again recently.

According to the former Kabareskrim, by maintaining a high level of public trust in the Police, it can answer all forms of challenges that will be faced by every police personnel.

"So like it or not, the Police must continue to improve, both organizationally and in public recognition of their colleagues, this is important," said Sigit.

Sigit said, Polwan is a strength in dealing with all the challenges that occur in society. In fact, said Sigit, the Policewoman's smile could solve the situation before the problem occurred.

"However, if we can finish it at the beginning with a smile from Polwan, all problems can be solved, Alhamdulillah. And I think with the appearance of Polwan colleagues in front as well as provided with special skills, it will be better to deal with these things," said Sigit.
