Ridwan Kamil's Figure Appears As Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate, PDIP: Everything Will Still Be Candidates

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said the former Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil was still another figure who was a candidate for vice president (cawapres).

It is certain that no one has been chosen as a companion to Ganjar in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). However, the party supporting the white-haired figure continues to monitor the aspirations expressed by the public.

"Yes, all the names that appeared were reported by the public who were arrested through a survey. All of their status is still a candidate for vice president," Hasto told reporters at the High End building, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 13.

Even so, Hasto said that the vice presidential candidate who accompanied Ganjar might not have been in the survey. This is because this happened in the 2019 presidential election when Joko Widodo (Jokowi) finally paired up with Ma'ruf Amin when he ran as an incumbent.

"Is it possible for names outside of those that have been circulating, empirically in 2019, different names appeared," he said.

"Well, of course those who have been voiced by the people will be examined in depth and carefully by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri," continued Hasto.

Hasto said there were several criteria as Ganjar's vice presidential candidate. Among them is being able to unite to accelerate Indonesia's movement and advance the people.

"Especially what is still being done is unfair, the poor, the marginalized, the poor, neglected children are cared for by the state and of course the suitability of the electoral aspect," he said.

"Later there will be the right momentum for the general chairmen after the general chairman, after Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri observed to discuss this," concluded Hasto.
