Perpetrators Of Police Persecutors In Gorontalo Strictly Take Action

GORONTALO - Gorontalo Police personnel took firm action against suspected abusers of Polri members that occurred in Tenda Village, Hulonthalangang District, Gorontalo City, Gorontalo Province.

Gorontalo City Police Chief Kombes Ade Permana said this incident began with a resident's report that on Friday, September 8.

The alleged perpetrator with the initials MH (47) reportedly attacked residents using a sword. Conditions had subsided.

"Then at around 19.15 WITA, MH acted again around his residence, so after receiving the information, the picket members immediately came to the location," said Ade Police Chief in Gorontalo, Antara, Sunday, September 10.

When they arrived at MH's house, three personnel consisting of pickets from the Criminal Investigation Unit, Opsnal or Buser and the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) intended to meet MH, but suddenly they were immediately attacked using a sword, resulting in one of the members dressed in the National Police service, suffering serious injuries in several parts of the body.

Seeing this condition, two other members immediately tried to distract MH, who at that time continued to attack a member known as Bripka Ariyanto Antuke.

MH's attention was diverted after members threw stones at him so that Bripka Ariyanto managed to save himself and fled.

Bripka Aryanto was then immediately rushed to the Gorontalo City Kodim Health Center (Kesdim) for medical treatment.

He suffered injuries to his left hand, namely five stitches incision, five stitches to the middle finger of his right hand, three stitches to the ring finger of his left hand, and three stitches to the finger of his left hand.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, who received the information, immediately led joint personnel to pursue and arrest the alleged perpetrator. However, upon arrival at the location, they did not find the whereabouts of MH

After being examined inside MH's house, members found and secured five arrows and two knives.

At around 24.30 WITA, the search was stopped due to inadequate lighting constraints. "At around 01.45 WITA, there were people who informed that MH was seen around his residence, so our members immediately returned to the location," said the Police Chief.

Arriving at the location, three personnel walking through one of the alleys met MH, who was holding a sword at that time.

The police chief said that at that time MH tried to attack the members, so the members fired warning shots three times at the sidelines of MH's legs.

"So this member was attacked, even though he had been given warning shots, the perpetrator kept approaching and swinging the sword at the members, and it turned out that one of the shots hit the pants," said the Police Chief.

He said the warning shot that hit MH's pants did not scare him and instead tried to get closer and even attacked the member.

Seeing this condition and assuming his life was threatened, the member immediately took decisive action, by shooting MH's chest.

"After MH fell, members immediately secured the sword. At that time MH was still attacking members, but it was resolved. He was then evacuated to the hospital and medical treatment was carried out. A few moments later he was declared dead," he said.

The police chief said that according to information circulating, MH had experienced mental pressure, but to prove mental disorders, previously there had been no research or observation from the mental hospital. Especially at this time that MH works as a laborer and a motor rickshaw driver (bentor).

"From MH's residence, we also secured dozens of sharp items such as arrows or bows, arrows, arrows, spears, knives, swords and others. Then there was news of the rejection of the autopsy," he added.
