Police Control The Process Of Collection Of Sultan Hotel Land From PT Indobuildco

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said his party was ready to oversee the process of taking the Sultan Hotel land covering an area of 13 hectares in the Gelora Bung Karno area controlled by PT Indobuildco, in accordance with applicable regulations.

"We will oversee the process, both the release process carried out based on regulations related to the return of assets or land, as well as processing the potential for new crimes that arise from legal events that occur," said Sigit as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 8.

Sigit was present at a joint meeting at the office of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) with the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, and the manager of the GBK complex.

According to the National Police Chief, the results of the coordination meeting were to explore and take steps to retrieve state-owned assets and land currently controlled by PT Indobuildco.

"Earlier it was explained that there had been a civil decision from the PK that won the country," said Sigit.

In the meeting, said Sigit, it had also been conveyed by the Minister of ATR that the right to management of the Building Use Rights (HGB) had ended. Thus the land is again owned by the state, in this case the State Secretariat.

"Of course the next step that must be taken is that the state will take steps to take back the rights to land or assets owned by the state," said the former Police Criminal Investigation Officer.

The National Police has emphasized that it will oversee the process that will be carried out to restore the state's assets or land back to the state. "Of course, we also see that there are executorial decisions that are not implemented by PT Indobuildco and this raises the potential for new crimes. Starting from general criminal problems or those related to corruption laws," said Sigit.
