JAKARTA - The dinner or gala dinner which presented delegates from the 43rd ASEAN Summit in the forest of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta, presents Jakarta exoticism at night.

Reporting from the statement from the Director General of Information and Public Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, the gala dinner agenda represented Indonesia's desire to leave a deep impression on invited guests at the 43rd ASEAN Summit 2023 in Jakarta.

The activity, which was held on an artificial forest area of 4.5 hectares, put forward the green concept, which was colored by the sparkling lights of tally buildings around the area.

No less interesting, the construction of a tens of meters long bamboo canopy in the form of a roof of the traditional house of the Sasak tribe in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara was also installed at the gala dinner venue, as a marker of the entrance to the event location.

Corridor arrivals of state guests were also interrelated with a thick red carpet on the canopy floor to welcome delegation guests.

The state guests who attended were also presented with a view of the small hills round the open stage (amphitheater).

The small hill, complete with synthetic green grass, is an artificial construction that was built to adjust the capacity of the delegates who attended.

There is access in the form of eight steps and a sloping road specifically for people with disabilities to reach the hill.

On this hill, dozens of round tables have been arranged, each of which is about 1.6 meters in diameter. Each table is surrounded by eight gray chairs which are about 25-35 centimeters between chairs.

Dozens of other tables with rectangular shapes arranged on the edge of the hill, facing right in the direction of amphitheater.

On the front of the stage in an open space, dozens of round tables and eight chairs and eating utensils were arranged.

Meanwhile, a 50 x 30 square meter open stage that presents a variety of art and musical entertainment performances from a number of capital artists.

Right at the back of the stage, towering dozens of skyscrapers with colors of lights standing in the Sudirman Business District (SCBD) Central area, right across the forest of the city of GBK.

The buildings became a giant screen for video mapping shows during the gala dinner.

In addition, the event organizers covered the surroundings of the forest fence in the city of GBK using thousands of giant rambat plants to increase the atmosphere in the middle of the forest.

Police officers also closed access to Jl Jenderal Sudirman from the direction of the Semanggi Bridge to the Senayan Roundabout from 16.00 WIB until the end of the gala dinner event.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has long ago asked companies based around the Sudirman area to hold work from home (WFH) for their workers on September 5-7, 2023.
