Visited By Yenny Wahid At His Residence, Prabowo Shows Off His Intimacy After Cak Imin Leaves The Coalition

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, received the arrival of the daughter of the fourth President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur, Yenny Wahid at Prabowo's residence.

This meeting occurred after PKB left the coalition of parties supporting Prabowo as a presidential candidate in 2024 because the general chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar, became a candidate for vice president to accompany Anies Baswedan.

Prabowo and the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figure meeting lasted for an hour and a half. On the sidelines of the meeting, the wife of the late Gus Dur, Sinta Nuriyah, followed her son to meet Prabowo.

Prabowo admitted that he had his own close relationship with Yenny and his family, including Gus Dur during his lifetime. In fact, Prabowo said that Gus Dur had a big role to his party.

"Frankly, Gerindra can be bigger faster because Gus Dur used to have great support. His followers are very large in East Java, we are big too," said Prabowo in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 6.

The Minister of Defense said that he and Yenny, at the meeting, discussed the political dynamics that are currently developing. However, Prabowo did not specify what they discussed.

"Today we also discussed a lot and we agreed to continue to communicate in the face of of of course the dynamics of our nation's political life which I think is quite dynamic," he explained.

Meanwhile, Yenny also showed off her close relationship with Prabowo. He said that Prabowo's grandfather and grandfather had been neighbors for a long time. In fact, you could say Prabowo was the one who brought Yenny together with her husband who is now her husband.

"I came here to fulfill his invitation because it was promised for a long time to be invited to have coffee together. Maybe friends can see that it is a form of intimacy from all of us," said Yenny.

"So, this relationship is a relationship of the heart. Not just politics, but beyond the five-year political event," he continued.
