Rocky Gerung Asked 40 Questions About Jokowi's Alleged Hate Speech

Political observer Rocky Gerung has finished undergoing an investigation regarding the alleged hate speech case against President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at Bareskrim Polri. A total of 40 questions were raised by the investigative team.

"40 (questions). Yes, about the case (alleged hate speech)," said Rocky Gerung to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.

Although he has answered dozens of questions, Rocky said there will still be further examinations of them.

The plan is that he will return to provide information regarding the case on Wednesday, September 13.

"Next Wednesday it will continue because 40 is not rich enough," he said.

"A little (question) but it will be deep," continued Rocky.

Regarding the follow-up examination, Rocky firmly stated that he would fulfill it. Because, he had to explain all about his statement which had caused a commotion in the community.

"Yes, because I have to answer, so I have to be present," said Rocky.

Previously reported, the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro said the clarification process against Rocky Gerung was a follow-up to dozens of police reports (LP) that had been received from all regional police officers.

Dozens of reports were decided to withdraw their handling to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

In detail, Bareskrim Polri received two reports, Polda Metro Jaya three reports, Polda East Kalimantan 11 reports, Polda Central Kalimantan three reports, and Polda North Sumatra two reports.

Then, from the dozens of reports, the investigation team of each regional police has conducted an interview report (BAI) to the witnesses. At least, there are 85 witnesses and experts who have been questioned.

"There have been 72 witnesses and 13 experts," said Djuhandhani.

Reports against Rocky Gerung began with podcast content broadcast on YouTube Refly Harun. Rocky Gerung's statement at the event was considered to contain elements of insulting Jokowi and unethical.

"Once Jokowi loses his power he becomes an ordinary person, no one cares later. But Jokowi's ambition is to maintain his legacy. He offers IKN, pacing to the coalition, to find clarity on his fate," said Rocky in the video.

"He thinks his fate is not our fate, it's b****n yang t*l, sekaligus b***ng*n mengguruh. Kalau dia b***ng*n smart, dia mau terima berbahan dengan Jumhur Hidayat. Ajaib, b**ng*n tapi mengguruh," lanjut Rocky mengkritik Jokowi.
