Ganjar Bali Volunteers Stay Open With PSI Cadres

DENPASAR - Ganjar Volunteers in Bali consisting of six groups admitted that they remained open to Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) cadres who still supported Ganjar Pranowo even though his party was canceled.

Six groups consisting of Ganjariantarian, Ganjaris Bali, Sobat Ganjar, Sahabat Ganjar, DGP8, and the Ganjar Lovers Community, whose members still include PSI cadres gathered during the Ganjar Bali Volunteer Week.

"It becomes our dynamics but my language PSI is not in a position to support anyone, meaning this is the individual space for cadres to choose the greatest candidate, for us to be open if anyone wants to support Ganjar," said Head of Ganjarantarian Komter Bali I Made Iwan Dewantama as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 26.

It is different if later PSI determines the direction of politics, where Ganjar volunteers in Bali will limit the support from PSI cadres if they are unanimous in supporting presidential candidates other than Ganjar Pranowo.

"Oh yes, it's limiting, even though we are only volunteers, we understand politics, but so far no one has run away, that's the chairman of the event committee from PSI," he said.

In their activities, which talked a lot about food security, I Gusti Ngurah Harta as a candidate for legislature for the DPR RI from PSI became chairman of the committee.

The politician who is familiarly called Turah Harta is also a coach in the volunteer group Support Ganjar Pranowo President 8 (DGP8), and until now his political direction has not changed even though some PSI members have started to turn around.

"It's up to the party, we have nothing to do but personally I (support) Ganjar," he said when met at the event.

He said there was no directive from the PSI DPP regarding the choice of presidential candidates, most of his colleagues in Bali were still inclined to support Ganjar, so he thought this was legal as a form of democracy.

"If they (PSI) take me out (for supporting Ganjar) I also don't mind, it doesn't matter to me," said Harta.
