DKI Disburses KLJ, KPDJ, And KAJ Social Assistance To 245 Thousand Recipients

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has disbursed social assistance for the Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ), Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ), and Jakarta Children's Card (KAJ) to 245,749 recipients. In detail, assistance was distributed to 206,695 KLJ recipients, 21,172 KPDJ recipients, 15,355 KAJ recipients, and 2,527 Jakarta Children and Youth Care Card recipients (KPARJ). The distribution of cash social assistance is distributed through Bank DKI ATM cards. Disbursement is carried out in stages until August 31, 2023. "Bank DKI ensures that the distribution process runs smoothly while still prioritizing comfort for beneficiaries," said Acting President Director of Bank DKI Amirul Wicaksono in his statement, Thursday, August 24. Amirul explained that the distribution area was carried out ceremonially simultaneously in the Thousand Islands spread across 6 islands located in the South and northern Thousand Islands on 7 and 8 August 2023 with 380 beneficiaries. Also, at 5 locations spread across 5 areas of Jakarta on August 22, 2023, with a total of 2,437 beneficiaries. Data collection on recipients of this assistance is determined by Governor Decree Number 460 of 2023 concerning amendments to Governor Decree Number 281 of 2023 concerning Recipients and Amount of Social Assistance in the Context of Social Protection for Fiscal Year 2023. "Furthermore, new recipients will be invited in stages," said Amirul. For information, the beneficiaries will receive funds of IDR 300,000 (three hundred thousand rupiah) which will be stored in their respective accounts. For the executing (old) recipients, Bank DKI has transferred the book on August 11, 2023, and each beneficiary has received the May-June 2023 period. Meanwhile, for new recipients, the funds received are the period January-June 2023. For recipients who have received funds in the previous year, but did not get them this year, they can check the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) through the website https://dtks.jakarta.go.id/, or file a complaint with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service.

In addition, the cards received also have benefits, one of which is for beneficiaries to be able to buy subsidized food (rice, meat, chicken, fish and eggs).
