Police Investigate Case Of The Death Of A Surakarta UIN Lecturer Covered In Mattress With Injured Body

SUKOHARJO - Sukoharjo Police conducted an investigation into the alleged murder of a lecturer at the Surakarta State Islamic University (UIN), who was found dead at his home, in Tempel Village, Gatak District, Sukoharjo, Central Java.

Sukoharjo Police Chief AKBP Sigit confirmed the discovery of a female body in the housing complex, the victim with the initials W (34), a resident of Gatak Sukoharjo, Thursday (24/8) afternoon.

From the testimony of a neighbor witness, the victim is a lecturer at UIN Surakarta. The victim's body was taken to Dr. Moewardi Hospital Solo.

The police chief said that when he was found, the victim was covered in a mattress on the floor and there were a number of wounds.

However, said the police chief, the cause of death of the victim is still under investigation. He admitted that there were signs of violence on the victim's body because there were wounds.

"The allegation of the victim's death is still under investigation by police officers," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Meanwhile, Indriyanto (47), one of the victim's neighbors, explained that the victim's body was found in a house locked from outside. The victim is known to live in the house because the place beside the discovery of the corpse was being renovated.

The victim's house was locked from outside. The first resident entered the victim's house and found some bloodstains. He then came out and immediately reported the incident to the police.
