"One of them is with transportation that is in accordance with the provisions, specifically for exhaust emissions," he continued.

Fines For Emission Test Tickets Are Very Expensive For IDR 500 Thousand

Latif explained that the application of fines for vehicles that do not pass the emission test will be subject to fines ranging from Rp250 thousand to Rp500 thousand.

2-wheeled vehicles that do not pass the emission test will be subject to a fine of IDR 250 thousand.

Meanwhile, 4-wheeled vehicles are subject to a fine of IDR 500 thousand.

The amount of the fine is regulated in accordance with Article 285 Paragraph 1 and Article 276 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.

Emission Test Will Be A Requirement For Extension Of STNK

Meanwhile, emission tests will also be a provision to pay for the extension of the Vehicle Number Certificate (StNK), if it does not pass until it is ready, it will be fined.

Siti Nurbaya Bakar as a minister of the Environment and Forestry explained the mechanism for sanctions and fines for vehicles that did not pass the emission test.

Siti Nurbaya Bakar explained that the emission test would be a requirement for the extension of the STNK, if the vehicle did not pass the emission test and would be subject to a fine.

The implementation of this emission test is integrated for motor vehicle owners, this emission test will also be an obligation for the extension of the STNK.
