JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will follow up on the name of the Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Mohamad Risal Wasal in the bribery case of a train project. His name appeared at the trial some time ago at the Semarang Corruption Court.

"Wait for a report from the public prosecutor, look forward to reports on the progress of the trial," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, August 14.

As for the trial, it was revealed that there was a flow of billions of rupiah worth of money intended as an official holiday allowance (THR) at the Ministry of Transportation. One of those suspected of enjoying it was the Director General of Railways Mohamad Risal Wasal.

Alexander explained that all the facts at the trial would be a concern. They are still waiting for a report from the prosecutor on duty.

"That will be reported by the KPK public prosecutor," he said.

Similarly, Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur said that anyone who was proven to have been splashed in money from a bribe for the railway project would be investigated.

"It all depends on how much the criminal elements are fulfilled, so later when it is found when the legal facts are tried," he said.

However, the KPK will conduct a case title or exposure first. "Later, the public prosecutor will open a progress report presented at the leadership and we will also attend," said Asep.

"From there, we will see if it violates the article when, for example, two criminal incidents have been found, we will raise the evidence to an investigation," he concluded.
