A Motive For Jealousy Of Cheating, Husband In Ende NTT Kills Wife While Sleeping

The member of the Ende Resort Police (Polres), East Nusa Tenggara has detained a suspect in the murder crime with the initials PN alias NUS (40) against a female victim with the initials VM (29) in East Lio District. "We have detained him," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ende Police, Iptu Yance, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, August 13. The police arrested the suspect on Saturday. The evidence found was a gamal log with a length of about one meter and the victim's clothes consisting of a shirt and pants belonging to the victim. Yance explained that the incident occurred in Tiwudhea Hamlet, RT 001/RW 001, Nualima Village, East Lio District, Ende Regency. Prior to the murder incident, the suspect drank liquor with four witnesses at around 15.00 WITA on August 8, 2023. The suspect then managed to return home to prepare for the party. On August 9, 2023 at around 02.00 WITa in the morning, the suspect returned home and woke up the victim to inquire about the victim's relationship with another man. The victim was hit 10 times with the suspect's fist, then abused using gamal wood in the victim's body many times. After seeing the victim unconscious in the room, the suspect sought help to neighbors. However, the suspect fled from the officers's pursuit. The suspect managed to be arrested in Wolona, Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Rewarangga Village, Ende Timur District by the buser team at his hiding place.

"The suspect is jealous and suspects that the victim has another ideal man," said Yance explaining the motive for the incident. For this case, the suspect is suspected of being Article 338 of the Criminal Code Subs Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code with a threat of 15 years in prison.
