Central Government Encouraged To Immediately Build Cianjur Toll Road

Tourism actors and business actors in Cianjur Regency, West Java, have encouraged the central government to immediately realize the construction of the Cianjur toll road as a solution to traffic jams on the Puncak route and economic recovery efforts in line with the high number of tourist visits.

Cianjur businessman Zulfar Zein in Cianjur Sunday said that since the last dozen years business and tourism actors have hoped that there will be a solution to traffic jams on the Puncak route, especially on weekends and national long holidays, which will keep the number of visits from decreasing.

"Our hope at that time was that the construction of Puncak II as a solution for traffic jams on the main Puncak route, but it has not materialized, followed by the plan to widen the main Puncak route and now the Cianjur toll road, we support this as well," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

The reason is that since the last dozen years, the number of visits to the Cipanas area, which has become an icon of the tourist city of Cianjur, continues to decline and even seems to "die suri" because tourists are often trapped for up to tens of hours in the Puncak area.

"The plan to build the Cianjur toll road starting from the Bogor area has become a breath of fresh air for business actors in Cianjur because we hope that the number of visits will increase again and the economy will recover like a dozen years ago," he said.

The same thing was said by business actors in a number of sub-districts in the northern region of Cianjur, which has been known as a supplier of agricultural products ranging from vegetables to cut flowers to large markets in Jabodetabek.

They hope that the construction of the Cianjur toll road can be realized soon so that they no longer lose orders because they are not on time or lose money because the vegetables that have been ordered are not fresh to the hands of the buyer and are not paid.

"We hope that the central government will realize our dream to go and go home quickly without having to be stuck in long lines on the Puncak route. We believe the existence of toll roads can revive the economy in Cianjur," said cut interest supplier in Pacet District, Nandang.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Cianjur Herman Suherman, urged the central government to immediately realize the construction of the Cianjur toll road, as a solution to traffic jams on the Puncak route, which has prevented tourists from taking vacations to Cianjur.

"We will continue to encourage through the relevant ministries and through members of the DPR RI in the Cianjur electoral district, so that the Cianjur toll road can be realized immediately, so that the Cianjur economy, especially the northern region, can recover as before," he said.
