Not Terror, This Is The Cause Of The'shot' Hole In The Cibadak Sukabumi District Court Window

SUKABUMI - Investigators of the Sukabumi Police Investigation and Criminal Unit (Satreskrim) confirmed that the damage to the glass window on the second floor of the Cibadak District Court, on Jalan Jajaway, Sukabumi Regency was not an act of terror.

"On Wednesday (9/8) morning we received a report from the Cibadak District Court regarding the sound of an explosion originating from the second floor of the Cibadak District Court and it was found that one of the windows of the office was damaged and there was a hole with a diameter of less than one centimeter," said Sukabumi Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Dian Purnomo as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 9.

From the report, the police deployed personnel to conduct a crime scene (TKP) in the building in Palabuhanratu District.

It turned out that from the results of the crime scene, the broken glass in the office window was not an act of terror. The hole in the glass, which was suspected of being from a bullet, turned out to come from a stone the size of a marble.

The police then conducted a sweep and managed to secure three children who were playing catapults. So that the police found the fact that the glass damage to the window of the office was caused by children playing catapults.

The sound of the explosion was caused by a stone thrown by a catapult until it penetrated the glass, because at the location his party found a stone the size of a marble.

According to Dian, not far from the Cibadak District Court building there are also schools, where the school grounds are used as places for children to gather to play catapults.

"We confiscated evidence of a catapult from the children. For the children who were secured, coaching had been carried out so as not to repeat their actions because apart from being able to harm yourself and others," he added.

The incident was confirmed that there was no intentional element. The catalyst shot missed so that it hit the glass of the second floor window of the Cibadak District Court building.
