As Minister Of Anti-Corruption, Ganjar: Leaders Must Be Examples Of Integrity

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo emphasized that a leader must have integrity and be an example of an anti-corruption attitude. So that in addition to the practice of corruption, public services will also be maximized and the community will be well served.

This was conveyed by Ganjar after attending and opening the 2023 Level II National Leadership Training at the Central Java BPSDMD Building, Monday, August 7. Ganjar, wearing a khaki uniform, said that there were differences of views on the clothes.

"If we ourselves, maybe when we were about to leave, we reflected looking really cool. But if this uniform is what people see, they are not too happy," said Ganjar, making the atmosphere nervous.

This fact occurs in the field because people still feel they have not been served well. Ganjar said that ASN should be proud as a civil servant after being able to serve the community optimally.

However, this can only be realized if ASN have leaders who provide examples of attitude of integrity and anti-corruption. Ganjar said that the leader who is still thinking about his own stomach is the potential for corruption to emerge.

"Once they can be an example, of course there will be innovations given, yes, system improvements. Improvement of the system is a public service, hopefully, finish the task," said Ganjar.

Therefore, in this activity, the Governor of Central Java for two terms also encouraged discussions and stories of bad experiences in his government.

"So that they become a leader in the future, then they lead their respective services or in their respective ministries, they will understand what must be corrected, what we must improve and it starts with the integrity of the leadership," he said.

Ganjar also reminded the importance of administrative transparency if these values have been realized. That way, leaders can give appropriate and comprehensive accountability.

"The administration is only two, transparent and accountable. These values are simple, if they are done they will become strong leaders, they have a strong attitude, and are never afraid," said Ganjar.

Ganjar hopes that more and more leaders will have strong character so that there will be no more corruption, collusion, or illegal levies (extortion). Ganjar also hopes that more innovations will be encouraged by future leaders as a trigger for the progress of the Indonesian nation.

"There are also many good leadership, they can do so that community services are fast, the country must progress," he said.

In his leadership in Central Java, Ganjar succeeded in building a corruption prevention system in Central Java by implementing an anti-corruption curriculum in schools, building anti-corruption villages, and committing to creating a clean government through his firm stance on ASN.

In his two leadership periods, Ganjar also created various innovations. For example, the online complaint service LaporGub, free education costs, intensify bureaucratic reform, and other programs.
