4 Kemenkominfo Officials Become Witnesses At The 4G BTS Corruption Court

A total of four officials from the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) were presented as witnesses by the public prosecutor (JPU) in the trial of witness examination related to the alleged corruption case of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) 4G. "Four noble people," said one of the prosecutors in response to Hakim Ketua Dennie Arsan Fatrix before the trial at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, August 2. They are the Head of the Lastmile/Backhaul Division of the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) of the Ministry of Communication and Information Muhammad Feriandi Mirza and the Head of the Sub-Division/Coordinator of Monitoring and Evaluation Network Telecommunications of the Ministry of Communication and Information Indra Apriadi. Then, the Head of the Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Communication and Information Arifin Saleh Lubis and the Main Auditor at the Inspector General (Irjen) of the Ministry of Communication and Information Doddy Setiadi. "Witnesses on behalf of Mr. Muhammad Feriandi Mirza, please enter the courtroom. Second, Mr. Indra Apriadi, third Mr. Arifin Saleh Lubis, and fourth Mr. Doddy Setiadi," said the prosecutor. The four witnesses were presented to the accused Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy Irwan Hermawan, President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak, and Account Director of PT Huawei Tech Investment Mukti Ali. Previously, the four witnesses had also been presented in the same case for other defendants. At the trial on Tuesday (25/7) the four were presented as witnesses for former Minister of Communications and Informatics Johnny G. Plate, President Director of BAKTI Anang Achmad Latif, and expert Human Development at the University of Indonesia (HUDEV UI) Yohan Suryanto. However, at the trial, the examination was only carried out for Mirza because there was not enough time. Then, Indra, Arifin, and Doddy were heard at the same time at the trial which was held on Tuesday (1/8). "For those who have been examined, previously the four witnesses have been (examined) in other cases, yes? Just tell them what is being asked, what is not asked does not need to be answered," said Judge Dennie. The judge also reminded the witnesses to provide correct information based on the facts they had experienced, heard, or seen directly. "The four witnesses had already been sworn in. For that, we remind you to provide the real information that you experienced yourself, hear directly, see directly, what is not known, just say you don't know or forget to say you forgot, don't add it, don't reduce it," said Hakim Dennie. In this case, Johnny G. Plate was charged with committing a criminal act of corruption in the provision of 4G BTS infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for BAKTI Kominfo for the 2020 period – 2022 which cost the state finances Rp8,032,084,133,795.51. In the indictment, it was stated that a number of parties benefited from the construction project, namely Johnny G. Plate received money amounting to Rp17,848,308,000.00; Anang Achmad Latif received Rp5 billion; Yohan Suryanto received Rp453,608,400.00.

Furthermore, Irwan Hermawan received IDR 119 billion; Windi Purnama as Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera received IDR 500 million; Muhammad Yusrizki as Director of PT Basat Utama Prima received IDR 50 billion and 2.5 million US dollars; FiberHome Consortium PT Telkominfra PT Multi Trans Data (PT MTD) for Package 1 and 2 received IDR 2,940,870,824,490.00; Consortium Linta Huawei SEI for package 3 received IDR 1,584,914,620,955.00; and Consortium IBS and ZTE Package 4 and 5 received IDR 3,504,518,715,600,00.
