Prosecutor's Office Detains 2 Suspects In The NTT Provincial Government Land Asset Corruption Case

Investigators from the NTT High Prosecutor's Office have detained two suspects in a case of alleged corruption in the use of land assets belonging to the East Nusa Tenggara/ANTARA Provincial Government.

The East Nusa Tenggara Provincial High Prosecutor's Office has detained two suspects, namely Thelma DS and Heri Pranyoto in a case of alleged corruption in the use of land assets covering an area of 31,670 m2 belonging to the local provincial government which cost the state Rp8.5 billion. Thelma DS is the Head of Asset Utilization of the NTT Provincial Secretariat. Meanwhile, Heri is the Director of PT Sarana Investama Manggabar. "Both of them have been detained by investigators for corruption in the NTT High Prosecutor's Office," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Attorney AA Raka Putra Dharmana in Kupang, antara, Monday, July 31. According to Raka Putra Dharmana, the two suspects were detained by investigators in the alleged corruption in the use of 31,670 m2 land assets belonging to the East Nusa Tenggara Province Government located in Gorontalo Village, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency. He explained that the alleged corruption case had been investigated by the special criminal investigation team of the NTT High Prosecutor's Office on January 17, 2022. "The investigative team has found sufficient evidence in this case to be upgraded to the investigation stage based on the Investigation Order of the Head of the East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office Number print-354/N.3/Fd.1/10/2022 dated October 11, 2022," he said. The corruption case, which cost the state Rp8.5 billion, began when in 2012 the Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture donated two plots of land belonging to the Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture of the NTT Province to the Governor of NTT. On May 3, 2014, the NTT Provincial Government signed a profit-sharing cooperation agreement without going through a tender to PT Sarana Investama Manggabar (PT SIM) with the number HK.530 of 2014 - Number 04/SIM/Managing/V/14 concerning the construction of hotels and supporting facilities on land owned by the NTT Provincial Government. Then in 2021 there will be the findings of the BPK auditor team which considers that the contribution of the cooperation is very low, so it is advisable to revise the agreement but there is no response from PT SIM. Based on the calculation of the NTT Government's apprical experts in the report on the results of the BPAD-NTT number assessment.A3/000,030/2633/2022, it was obtained that the contribution value should be IDR 1,547,958,670.18 every year so that the state losses incurred from the actions of the suspects resulted in state losses reaching more than IDR 8.5 billion based on the report on the results of the audit results of the BPKP Representative for the Province of East Nusa Tenggara. Raka Putra Dharmana said the two suspects had been detained at the Kupang Class II detention center and Women's Prison for the next 20 days.
