JAKARTA - The implementation of the Sweat Run 2023 Pocari in Bandung on Sunday, July 30 is the 10th time, since it was first held in 2014. This time, the annual event that is always held in the capital of West Java was attended by around 27,398 participants, with details of 11,875 in Bandung and 15,523 in 400 other cities throughout Indonesia. Puspita Winawati as Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka said that the public interest this year is getting higher. This can be seen from the sales of slots provided this year “Total 11,875 offline running slots sold out in 56 minutes, and this is the fastest time to run out of history 10 years, ” Puspita Winawati said during a press conference at Gedung Sate, Bandung on Sunday, July 30. The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil also participated in the celebration of a decade of the Pocari Sweat Run. He recalled the 10 years during which he always participated in this running event. “ It's been ten years since I have accompanied this event, five years as Mayor of Bandung and five others as Governor. I'm even happier because this year is the best, we broke the record,” said Ridwan Kamil. Puspita Winawati also hopes that these kinds of events will not only have an impact on people's lifestyle that is getting healthier, but can also drive the economy around where the event takes place. “ In this 10th year, the key to our success is collaboration and cooperation with various parties. Hopefully this event will not only have an impact on health, but also on the economy of the community,” he said. Meanwhile, Febby Rastanty, as one of the Indonesian artists who joined the run, expressed her pleasure to see the city of Bandung in person while running with thousands of people. “ I'm really happy to be able to circle Bandung, which looked clean and neat, already like in Tokyo. Pocari Sweat Run is an event that must be followed. I am very happy to see people now and their interest in running is getting higher,” said Febby Rastanty.
