JAKARTA - The National Police have coordinated with Interpol Cambodia regarding the news of Harun Masiku's whereabouts. However, as a result, the fugitive from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is said to be not in Cambodia.

"There has been no detection of Harun Masiku in Cambodia, nothing yet," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters at the DPR-RI building, Thursday, July 27.

Previously, it was rumored that Harun Masiku had changed his citizenship and was currently in Cambodia.

Responding to the news, the National Police through the International Relations Division (Hubinter) immediately coordinated with the Cambodian Interpol to clarify it.

Ramadhan reiterated that Interpol Cambodia stated that Harun Masiku's whereabouts were not tracked in Cambodia.

Harun Masiku is a fugitive in the alleged case of giving gifts or promises to state officials regarding the appointment of elected DPR RI Members 2019-2024 at the General Election Commission (KPU).

Harun Masiku has been on the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Wanted List (DPO) since January 17, 2020.

In March 2023, Harun Masiku was also rumored to be the marbot of a mosque in Malaysia.
