NTB Prosecutor's Office Claims To Save Rp900 Million In State Money In The Last 6 Months

NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) reported the rescue of state money from handling a number of corruption cases with a total of IDR 900 million in performance in the last 6 months.

"The total rescue of state finances in the field of special crimes is Rp904,500,000. This rescue starts from January to July 2023," said Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office Nanang Ibrahim Soleh in Mataram, Monday, July 24, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the rescue of state money in the field of corruption was taking place in handling cases at the investigation and prosecution stages at trial.

Regarding the corruption case that contributed to saving state money, Nanang did not explain it to the public.

However, from the prosecutor's investigation records for the period January to July 2023, it was revealed that there was a deposit in the return of state losses from one of the suspects in the alleged corruption case of the PT Anugrah Mitra Graha (AMG) iron mine with the initials PSW.

The suspect, with the role of Director of PT AMG, who is based in North Jakarta, entrusted the state's loss to the prosecutor's investigators with a value of Rp800 million. This figure is still relatively small when compared to the results of the NTB BPKP audit which released state losses in the alleged corruption case of PT AMG's iron sand mine worth Rp36 billion.

Related to this, Nanang assured that his party would continue to work optimally in efforts to recover state finances from handling corruption cases.

One of them is seeking to recover state losses by tracking and collecting data on assets belonging to suspects in corruption cases.

"That's why, my intelligence friends who often work in the field track assets. It's not just traveling, it's me who gives orders," he said.

He also admitted that tracking assets related to corruption cases provided a challenge for the prosecutor's intelligence team.

"Because the modes vary, some are transferred to their families, relatives, relatives, brothers, sisters, especially a businessman, sometimes save them in their suppliers or employees," he said.

However, Nanang assured that his party was not dead in the search for assets related to corruption cases. In this case, he emphasized that the prosecutor's office is working with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).
