JAKARTA - The 43rd Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will be held on September 5-7, 2023 in Jakarta.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Teuku Faizasyah said the holding of the 43rd ASEAN Summit was managed by a national committee consisting of relevant ministries/agencies.
"This means that this is a big girl (Indonesia). The summit involves all ministries and institutions whose aim is to make the event a success," said Faizasyah, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 20.
Among the preparations made, there will be discussions regarding the management of the summit coverage media carried out by the Presidential Palace.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Communication and Information, he said, were among the ministries/agencies that were assigned in this field.
"In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also responsible for the substance and friends at the Directorate General of ASEAN Cooperation have worked hard to ensure that at this summit there is a substantive achievement that can truly reflect on our chairmanship in 2023," said Faizasyah.
Unlike the 42nd Summit in Labuan Bajo which was held last May, the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta in September will not only be followed by leaders of member countries of the regional organization, but also heads of state/governments of ASEAN partner countries.
