KPK Will Review Menpora Dito's Request For Clarification Regarding Prize Assets Worth IDR 162 Billion In LHKPN

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will review whether or not to summon the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo.

This step was taken after the assets of Rp162 billion worth of prize status submitted in the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) became the spotlight.

"I discussed first with the team," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan to reporters in a written statement, Thursday, July 20.

Pahala then mentioned that since the beginning the KPK did not get proof of ownership of the property. This is because state officials do not need to attach it when reporting their wealth.

"If you send LHKPN, do not attach evidence. So if necessary, we can ask to send supporting evidence," he said.

"It's filled in certificate numbers and others but there's no need to attach the reporting time," continued Pahala.

Dito reported his wealth to the KPK on July 12 after he was appointed as Minister of Youth and Sports replacing Zainudin Amali. He has a total assets of IDR 282,265,579,658.

Of that number, there are five assets in the form of four houses and one car with the status of a prize. The total value reached Rp162 billion.

Related to this, Dito admitted that the assets were indeed gifts from parents. "So the position of the prize is indeed," he said in a written statement.

Furthermore, Dito mentioned about his parents who are businessmen. He also said that the reported assets were also combined with his wife's.

"Previously, my wife had received many gifts from her parents. If she was inputted to the LHKPN, all the certificates and origins were clear and we try to be honest in her report. If the KPK needs further clarification, I am ready," he concluded.
