The Investigation Of The Paper Factory Fire In Kudus Involves The Labfor Team Of The National Police Headquarters

The fire at the Enggal Subur Paper factory on Jalan Kudus-Pati kilometer 12 in Terban Village, Jekulo District, is still being investigated by the Central Java Regional Police (Polda).

To note, the factory caught fire on Friday, July 14, at 23.15 WIB. After the effort to extinguish the fire by involving 7 fire engines from the government and the private sector, finally on Saturday, July 15, the fire was successfully controlled.

The Forensic Laboratory Team of the National Police Headquarters, which is located at the Central Java Police, was also involved to investigate the cause of the burning of the paper factory.

"The investigation into the cause of the fire is still waiting for the cooling phase at the fire site to be completed," said Kudus Police Chief AKBP Dydit Dwi Susanto in Kudus, Sunday.

Regarding the suspicion that the cause of the fire was due to an electrical short circuit, he said that his party could not confirm it because they still had to wait for the results of the investigation.

As a result of the fire, the company that produces the paper suffered a loss of around Rp. 17.5 billion.

The potential loss is calculated from finished paper which is ready to be sold weighing 35,000 tons on fire, including buildings, production support equipment, four employee vehicles, 2 operational cars, and 2 forklip units were also burned.
