Coordinating Minister For SMEs Forbids His Subordinates From Quoting Cooperatives For Revolving Financing Recipients

JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki emphasized that he had banned his subordinates from "depositing" cooperatives in order to obtain revolving fund financing.

"I have also asked all officials in the ministry not to deposit MSMEs or cooperatives to get the financing of revolving funds," said Teten after attending the PAKU Integrity Anti-corruption Briefing at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 11, which was confiscated by Antara.

Teten revealed that cooperatives that often use relations to get funding are mostly fake cooperatives.

"'It's usually fake cooperatives, fake cooperatives because they have close ties to politicians or their officials, the minister then asked the Director of LPDB (Revolving Fund Management Agency) to pay," he said.

Furthermore, Teten admitted that he had received many complaints about the difficulty of getting LPDB assistance. In order for this to become the seeds of corruption, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has prepared a program to accommodate MSMEs that have not been able to access LPDB financing.

The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs will also cooperate with the Ministry of Finance in the context of supervising the distribution of revolving funds for cooperatives.

"We, together with the Ministry of Finance, ensure that all SOPs for the distribution of revolving funds are distributed. We arrange them appropriately so that they do not happen again like the previous events," said Teten.

On the same occasion, Deputy for Education and Community Participation of the KPK, Wawan Wardiana, said that the anti-corruption education program to the Kemenkop UKM was not only given to relevant officials but also to his partners.

The anti-corruption agency will then hold an Integrity Development Training and Training Center for Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs officials on July 20, 2023.

He hopes that this activity can provide provisions and build anti-corruption values to be implemented in daily work according to their authority.

"Finally, we invited them again to certify as experts in building integrity. This is part of what we are working on to carry out anti-corruption education for state administrators," he said.
