SMAN 8 Pekanbaru Finds 31 Fake Families In PPDB Process, Domicile For Engineering Zoning

PEKAKNBARU - State High School 8 Pekanbaru City, Riau Province found 31 fake family cards (KK) allegedly engineered in the process of accepting new students (PPDB) for the 2023/2024 school year.

Deputy Public Relations of SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru Reni Erita explained that the discovery began with the suspicion of the PPDB committee. After coordinating with the Pekanbaru City Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil), it was discovered that the KK had been engineered.

"Due to these findings, we sent the KK for PPDB participants to the zoning system to Disdukcapil. The results of the verification found that 31 families had been falsified," said Reni, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 4.

Some of these families turned out to be domiciled quite far and outside the SMA 8 zoning system. In fact, among the fake families, they were originally outside Pekanbaru City.

"From the edit, we were suspicious. Some immediately confessed, but some were silent," he said.

When asked, the owner of the KK did not want to mention where to fake it. However, based on the confession, the owner of the fake KK spent Rp. 500 thousand to commit the act.

In addition, after learning about the forgery, SMA 8 immediately disqualified the names of prospective students who used the engineered KK.

"We have blacklisted the names of the 31 children. So, they cannot enter our school through any route," said Reni.

Reni continued that until now she has not reported this finding to the Education Office, because her party is still focusing on the PPDB process.

"This year we received 209 students with 12 locals. We want to be really open in the admission process. Hopefully next year nothing will happen the same," he said.
