Arguing, Man In East Jakarta Burns Wife And 2 Children

JAKARTA - A viral video on social media shows a mother with the initials W (39) lying in the hospital due to being a victim of domestic violence by her husband, US (48). In fact, the perpetrator also watered her two children with the initials K (13) and I (15) with gasoline.

In the video uploaded to the @Awreceh.id account, seen on Sunday (2/7/2023), the wife's face is full of burns. He was lying with a breathing apparatus at a hospital in the East Jakarta area.

Meanwhile, his two children were also hospitalized because they suffered burns all over their bodies.

Based on the information on the account, the incident began with an argument between the victim and her husband. However, suddenly the alleged perpetrator poured gasoline and burned it.

East Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Leonardus Simarmata confirmed the domestic violence (KDRT) incident. Now, the perpetrators have been arrested and detained.

"Yes, that's right, currently the case is being handled by the East Jakarta Police. The perpetrator has been detained," Leonardus said in a short message, Sunday, July 2.

When asked further about the domestic violence, Leonardus was reluctant to answer, because his party was still investigating the perpetrators.

"Please go to the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit or the Head of the PPA in detail," he concluded.
