JAKARTA - Acting (Pj) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector has been the backbone of the Jakarta economy.

"We realize that the MSME sector is the backbone of the economy, including being the economic driver of the City of Jakarta," said Heru while attending the Creative MSME Expo event organized by the Indonesian Prosecutors Association (Persaja) at The Kasablanka Hall, South Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, July 1.

Heru appreciated Persaja and the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs for initiating the Creative MSME Expo event.

The event was designed as an effort to support the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program, as well as provide forums and opportunities for MSME players to promote their products.

Heru hopes that MSME Expo can become a forum for the curation of superior MSME products that can increase the growth and sustainability of the MSME sector.

"The synergy between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Central Government, and Persaja is expected to be stronger in optimizing the role of MSMEs as drivers of the people's economy," said Heru.

In addition, Heru also wished Persaja a happy 72nd birthday. Hopefully with age, said Heru, Persaja can play a role in supporting various strategic government programs and community development.

"Hopefully it will continue to triumph and be more solid in carrying out various noble tasks," said Heru.

Meanwhile, the Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) as well as the Chairman of the Committee for Reda Manthovanani said that the MSME Expo activity was part of the series of the 72nd Anniversary of Perjasa and welcomed Adhyaksa Service Day on 22 July.

In addition to supporting MSME players to promote their superior products, said Reda, this activity was also carried out in order to support the government's efforts to implement a program to accelerate national economic recovery.

This activity also means social interests which are expected to be a place to build concern and solidarity for the community and fellow Adhyaksa residents.

"It is hoped that Persaja will shine even more, and in particular the Prosecutor's Office will gain greater trust from the community in carrying out important roles in a fair and humane state of law," said Reda.
