Allegedly The Murder Of A Woman In Situbondo Covered In Mud Is Still Being Investigated By The Police

Situbondo Police, East Java, investigated the alleged murder of a 58-year-old woman who was found dead buried in mud behind her house on Friday, June 23.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Situbondo Police, AKP Dhedi Ardi Putra, revealed that local police investigators began investigating the alleged murder of Sulastri (58) who was found dead buried in mud behind his house in Kilensari Village, Panarukan District.

"The results of the post-mortem from the team of doctors at Dr. Abdoer Rahem Hospital showed that there were marks on the victim's neck, such as strangulations. Thus, it is suspected that Sulastri was a victim of persecution," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 26.

AKP Dhedi admitted that he had summoned several witnesses for further questioning for further investigation to reveal the alleged murder of a 58-year-old woman.

Currently, three witnesses have been questioned by investigators, namely a shrimp pond guard around the scene, the victim's family and the witness who first found the victim buried in mud behind his house about 100 meters.

"Nenek Sulastri (the victim) is also a pond guard who is not far from his house. Therefore, our investigators asked for information from Pak Sali, who is the caretaker of the pond (the victim's colleague)," said Dhedi.

Previously, local residents searched for the victim Sulastri, and finally the 58-year-old woman was found dead buried in mud on the river bank not far from the victim's house.
