JAKARTA - The General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has deployed human resources and technology at the Grand Mosque, to welcome and serve the pilgrims during this year's Hajj season.
The General Presidency has deployed more than 400 supervisors to oversee field operations carried out by 4,000 male and female workers, to clean the Grand Mosque no less than 10 times a day, to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the holy site.
"A dozen smart sterilization robots, capable of operating for up to 8 hours without human intervention, will be used. It is programmed to sterilize every corner and gap of the Grand Mosque, these robots will be powered by 20 Biocare dry vapor sterilization devices to sterilize air and surface simultaneously," said Assistant President General for Service, Technical and Field Affairs at the Mohammed Al Jabri Grand Mosque, as reported by Gulf News June 19.
In addition, fog sterilization equipment will be used in hard-to-reach areas, and 600 hand sanitizers will be installed.
"Several teams will work to sterilize the Grand Mosque, its outer courtyard, and toilets using more than 70,000 liters of sterilization equipment, following the highest international health standards for environmental prevention and epidemic control," said Al Jabri.
Al Jabri said preparations for the Service and Field Affairs Agency included the deployment of 5,000 regular vehicles and nearly 3,000 electric vehicles, all of which were coordinated through the TANAQOL application.
