BANJARMASIN - The South Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Kalsel) has completed the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the land acquisition of the national strategic project (PSN) for the construction of Tapin Dam in Tapin Regency which dragged three suspects. "We have transferred the case to the Banjarmasin Corruption Crime District Court (Tipikor) for further trial," said the Head of the Tapin District Attorney's Office, Adi Fakhruddin, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday 6 juni. As for the case transfer process through the Special Crime Section Team of the Tapin Prosecutor's Office because the place of the crime or the location of the case is in the jurisdiction of the Tapin Prosecutor's Office. Then for the team of public prosecutors (JPU) who will later carry out indictments and prosecutions against defendants at trial also consists of the South Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office and the Tapin Prosecutor's Office. It is known in the case of alleged corruption of Tapin Dam three people who were named suspects, namely H from the private element, then S as the head of the Pipitak Jaya Village, Piani District, Tapin District and AR for the state civil apparatus (ASN) as the land procurement committee. The alleged article imposed is Article 12 letter e of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code. Then Article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 of the 1 of the Criminal Code. Furthermore, Article 3 of Law Number 08 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering and or Article 4 of Law Number 08 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering.

It is known that the Tapin Dam project located in Pipitak Village, Piani District, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan Province is a multi-year project from 2015 to 2020 with a budget ceiling of almost Rp1 trillion until finally President Joko Widodo was present to directly inaugurate the Tapin Dam in early 2021. However, it was later revealed that the physical construction of the dam, which specializes inundation area of around 425 hectares, was also carried out by the land acquisition process until the South Kalimantan Attorney General's Land Mafia Eradication Team found indications of corruption.
