Tansjakarta Will Enter Soetta For Airport Employees, Transportation Agency Thinks How Not To Clash With Other Transportation

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that his party was reviewing the plan to add a Transjakarta bus route to the Soekarno Hatta (Soetta) area specifically for employees working at the airport.

Syafrin said that his party was preparing a Transjakarta travel route to Soetta Airport so that it would not clash with other public transportation such as Railink airport trains and Damri buses.

"Of course we hope that we minimize and avoid alluded to existing regular service services at Soetta airport," said Syafrin at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, June 5.

The plan is that the point of stopping the Transjakarta bus at Soetta Airport will be placed in a special terminal such as the cargo area. Then, the departure point is planned from the Transjakarta Grogol Bus Stop.

"In Jakarta he will (placed) in the corridor. Of course he (Transjakarta bus to the airport) will join the Grogol Bus Stop, for example. It is being discussed technically. Where did it start, according to the results of the technical study," he said.

The application of Transjakarta bus fares to enter the airport is also still being studied. So, it is not certain that the tariff is worth a regular Transjakarta bus. Then, the departure time will also be divided at a certain time.

"In the morning, there will be a service. In the middle of it there will be an off. In the afternoon, when shift 2 there will be a change from 4 o'clock or 5 o'clock, then there will be more services," he explained.

Previously, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II suggested that TransJakarta buses could serve routes from and to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) at certain hours in the morning and evening to serve employee mobility.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the number of workers at Soetta Airport was around 40,000-50,000 people working in various agencies such as AP II, airlines, ground handling, government agencies, commercial tenants, and so on.

"Every day these workers move from and to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. If there is a TransJakarta bus, it can provide more choices of transportation modes for airport workers," said Awaluddin.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that in the meeting there was indeed a proposal from AP II so that TransJakarta buses could operate at Soetta Airport.

"Earlier there was a discussion on the meeting table, there was a suggestion from the President Director of Angkasa Pura II, what if the TransJakarta bus enters (to Soetta Airport) but at certain hours it is easy for employees (at the airport)," said Heru.
