Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan promised a path to Turkey's revival and growth, when delivering his remarks at his inauguration ceremony at the presidential complex, Ankara.

Erdogan won the Turkish presidential election with 52.18 votes, while opposition candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu bagged 47.82 votes.

Previously, the Justice and Development Party (AK) which brought Erdogan and his allies also won the majority in parliament.

"I hope this noble mission will benefit my nation, which for which I have dedicated my life, to all parts of our homeland, and to humanity. I hope we will not disappoint our beloved nation who trusts me, as well as my party and alliance," said Erdogan.

After being sworn in by the Turkish parliament for a third term as president, Erdogan promised to embrace 85 million of the country's population - regardless of their political views, origins, or beliefs.

He stressed that all Turkish citizens must unite because the country needs unity and solidarity.

He also vowed to implement Turkey's vision as a republic for the next five years of his term of office.

"We will protect our democracy from the current constitution - which is a coup product (1980) - and strengthen it with a libertarian, civilian and inclusive constitution," said Erdogan.

After being sworn in, Erdogan will soon announce the new cabinet members of his government.

"We promise to work with all our might to protect the glory and honor of the Republic of Turkey, to promote its reputation, and glorify his name in the world for five years," he said.
