Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto visited the PPP DPP office today, Monday, May 29. Together with his entourage, he walked from his party office which was right next to him.

Hasto arrived at the PPP DPP office, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta at 12.44 WIB. He was accompanied by PDIP officials including PDIP DPP Chairman Ahmad Basarah and PDIP Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Chairman Bambang Wuryanto alias Bambang Pacul.

This group was welcomed by PPP Secretary General Arwani Thomafi and other high-ranking officials. The two of them did not make any statements because they immediately entered the room.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the PPP DPP, Achmad Baidowi or Awiek, stated that there were a number of discussions at the meeting. One of them is related to the framework of the winning team for the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, which was promoted by the two parties and the consolidation pattern.

"This includes the coordination and consolidation of the winning volunteer Ganjar Pranowo which has been formed," said Awiek in a written statement, Monday, May 29.

Awiek hopes that this meeting will further strengthen the two parties in the 2024 presidential election. "PDIP is based on nationalism, and PPP Islam. So that the Nationalist-Islam cooperation building complements each other," he said.

PPP previously visited the PDIP DPP office on Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta to submit the results of the national leadership meeting (Rapimnas). The handover indicated that the two parties agreed to carry the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate (candidate).

The handover of the rapid results was carried out directly by Plt General Chairperson of PPP Mardiono and received by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. At that time, the party bearing the symbol of a bull and a Kaaba had held a closed meeting first.
