The Ministry Of PUPR Allocates 10 Road Repair Packages In Lampung, Here's The List

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) allocated 10 packages of national road maintenance or preservation in Lampung Province in 2023 to improve the quality of connectivity and support economic growth.

"Coordination between regions is needed so that the mobility of goods, services, and humans is more efficient, so it is hoped that it will increase regional economic growth and help accelerate development in the region," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 26.

Basuki emphasized that with the better quality of roads, the surrounding community's economy will increase.

Dengan pemeliharaan jalan, kata Basuki, maka tingkat kemantapan jalan akan semakin baik. Dia berharap jalan nasional dan jembatan jalan nasional di Lampung dapat memiliki tingkat keterapan yang baik sebagai jalur alternatif penghubung Provinsi Lampung-Sumatra Selatan, selain Jalan Tol Trans Sumatra ruas Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar.

A total of 10 packages of work for the preservation or maintenance of roads and bridges in 2023 in Lampung by the Ministry of PUPR, namely the preservation of roads and the Pematang Panggang-Simpang Bujung Tenuk section bridge (Penawar-Gedong Aji Baru-Rawajitu Intersection).

Then, the preservation of roads and bridges of the Bujung Tenuk-batas intersection section of Central Lampung/East Lampung Regency (Bujung Tenuk-Terbanggi Besar intersection area).

Furthermore, the preservation of roads and bridges to the border area of Central Lampung Regency/East Lampung-Way Jepara-Bakauheni Intersection, and the preservation of the Tegineneng-Tanjung Karang-Km 10 section of roads and bridges (Besar Terbanggi-Tegineneng-Sukadana).

Then the preservation of the Km 10 (Panjang)-Bakauheni section road or Jalan Prof. Dr. Ir Sutami-Jalan Sribawono-Sribabino, the preservation of roads and bridges of the Sanggi-Gedong Tataan section.

Other national road maintenance activities are the preservation of roads and bridges for the Simpang Gunung Kemala-Sanggi section, the preservation of roads and bridges for the Bengkulu-Sigung Kemala-Padang Tambak border section, the preservation of the Padang Tambak-Bukit Kemuning-Batas section of South Sumatra, the preservation of roads and bridges for the Bukit Kemuning-Terbanggi Besar section, and the preservation of the Gedong Tataan-Jalan Monginsidi section.

Head of the Lampung National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) Susan Novelia said the preservation program is a road maintenance program that must be carried out every year in order to maintain road safety in good condition.

"As for now, there is a preservation program that uses a long segment scheme, namely a comprehensive maintenance scheme on a road segment by paying attention to the performance of service providers," said Susan.

National roads in Lampung Province are arterial roads and collectors of primary road network systems connected to Bakauheni Port and South Sumatra Province, in addition to the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road.

Overall, the national road under the authority of BPJN Lampung is 1,298.41 km, consisting of the 285.18 km East Cross Road, 323.92 km Central Cross Road, 323.62 km West Cross Road, 347.69 km Connectance Road, and 18 km Deep Road Bandarlampung City.
