Ambruk Pier Hit By Ship, GM ASDP Ternate Examined By Police

TERNATE - Polairud Investigator of the North Maluku Police (Malut) examined the General Manager of PT ASDP Persero Ternate Branch, Justan Gaffaru. Justan was examined as a witness regarding the incident of being hit by the Bastiong ferry dock by the KMPCity Line ship.

"I was summoned for questioning as a witness by the North Maluku Police Polairud investigators in the case of being hit by a dock which resulted in a badly damaged dock," said GM PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Ternate Branch, Justan Gaffaru, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 26.

The summoning of GM PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Ternate Branch is to support data evidence in an investigation conducted by Polairud investigators from the North Maluku Police

He said, as many as 19 questions from Polairud Polda North Maluku investigators regarding the incident when he was hit by the Bastiong manga by a ship owned by PT Asotim Lampung Pelayaran (ALP), which is a private company operating in this area.

"For three hours examined by the investigator, the question was related to what assets were damaged, then how much cost was suffered," he said.

He explained that his party together with the board of directors from PT ALP had met, but so far they have not committed who will be responsible for the incident.

"As far as we know, ASDP as the victim here is why I was asked for information on any assets, including what the impact would be, so I convey that the main impact is service," saidJustan.

Meanwhile, the Director of Polairud Polda Malut, Police Commissioner Mugi Sekar Jaya stated that the examination of GM PT ASDPitu as a witness was to complete the investigation data on 14 other witnesses related to the hit of the dock to get a complete picture of the incident.

"PT ASDP as the party who was harmed, so we have to know the extent of the accident that caused it. We ask for prayers, so that this case can be immediately revealed," said Mugi.

Therefore, he said, in the near future his party will immediately conduct a case title related to the incident of being hit by the dock to determine his legal status because so far Polairud has not been able to confirm the suspect in the incident.
