The operation of agglomeration transportation in the form of TransJateng Rapid Transit Bus (BRT) with the new Solo-Wonogiri route will cooperate with local bus operators who are members of the consortium.

"We have collaborated with seven local operators who will later be part of a consortium related to the new route for the TransJateng Solo-Wonogiri BRT which will be operated in August 2023," said Head of the Central Java Transportation Center Joko Setyawan in Semarang as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 19.

He explained that local bus operators play a role in several parts of the consortium including operator investors, contribute crew, and bus supervision.

"We did not leave, because it was the local bus operator of the Wonogiri bus. Local operators seemed to be spectators, no, but local operators were included in the service consortium," he said.

In addition to cooperating with local operators, the Central Java Provincial Government also coordinates with the Wonogiri Regency Government which is realized in an audience related to the TransJateng BRT service.

"We have conveyed to him (the Regent of Wonogiri) and he can accept and support. One of the supports is the type C terminal which was built by the Wonogiri Regency Government," he said.

According to him, as many as 14 bus units will serve the route and currently, supporting facilities and infrastructure are being prepared in the form of terminal repairs and bus stop construction.

"The operators have been ready since March 2023. Now they are finishing making buses at the Gunung Madiun area. While walking, regarding the preparation of the bus stop, in the near future the service crew will also serve the route," he said.

The TransJateng BRT on the Solo-Wonogiri route has 60 stops and 121 bus stops starting from the Tirtonadi Terminal Solo to Sukoharjo Terminal, then to Wonogiri Type A Terminal, and ends at the Wonogiri Type C Terminal.
