Fired From PPSU, This Man Is Desperate To Cheat With The COD Mode For Motor Purchase

Polsek Metro Tamansari meringkus pelaku penipuan jual beli motor dengan modus pembayaran melalui cash on delivery (COD).

From this case, as many as two suspects with the initials IM and SE were arrested in different locations. Suspect IM was arrested on Jalan Mangga Besar, West Jakarta. Meanwhile, SE was arrested in the Klender area, East Jakarta.

In the action, the main suspect with the initials IM often wore clothes on the DKI Jakarta Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) uniform in orange. Meanwhile, the suspect SE acts as a collector.

The Head of the Tamansari Metro Police, Kompol Adhi Wananda, said that the suspect IM previously worked as a PPSU officer. He worked for 2 months.

"The person concerned is a fraud with the mode of buying and selling COD," said Kompol Adhi when confirmed, Thursday, May 18.

The incident began when the suspect IM acted as a motorcycle buyer. Then he pretended to want to check the condition of the motorbike by walking around the area where he was in COD.

"So the person concerned is the buyer in the transaction. The person concerned is wearing PPSU official clothes because he has been in the PPSU service. After trying his motorbike, he didn't come back," he said.

The perpetrator deliberately kept the PPSU uniform to convince the victims when carrying out the fraud.

"Now he is not (working), but still has his clothes and this is what is used to convince the victim that he is a PPSU officer," he said.

The suspect has been in action twice in the Tamansari area. However, it is possible that the perpetrators also act in other areas.

"The evidence that we have secured is one Nmax motorbike, one PPSU uniform, one Kawasaki Ninja is the result of a crime. Then there is an Oppo cellphone with two units, this is the result of a crime as well and there is also a Honda PCX motorbike," he said.

As a result of his actions, suspect IM is now in the detention cell of the Tamansari Metro Police. The suspect was charged with Articles 378 and 480 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of four years in prison.
