KPU Kulon Progo Receives 2024 Pilkada Grant Funds Of IDR 32 Billion

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, received a grant for the 2024 Regional Head Election from the local government amounting to Rp32.38 billion.

Chairman of KPU Kulon Progo Ibah Muthiah, Thursday, said the grant budget was divided into two stages, namely the 2023 APBD for Fiscal Year amounting to Rp12.96 billion and the APBD for Fiscal Year 2024 amounting to Rp19.42 billion.

"We have been invited by the Kulon Progo Bappeda regarding the signing of the minutes of the agreement to finance the 2024 Kulon Progo Regional Head Election," said Ibah Muthiah in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Thursday.

He also appreciated the Kulon Progo Regency Government (Pemkab) for facilitating well, starting from the budget preparation process to being stated in the minutes of the submission of grant funds for the 2024 Pilkada.

"We also apologize in the communication of the preparation of the budget that is not quite right. We are very grateful for the support of the district government in all detainees in the 2024 Pilkada," added Ibah.

The signing of the 2024 Kulon Progo Regional Head Election budget minutes is the first in Yogyakarta.

In detail, the 2024 Pilkada budget of IDR 32.38 billion is for preparation and implementation of IDR 10.19 billion, office operations and administration of IDR 6.71 billion, working groups of IDR 285 million, and honorarium for election organizers of IDR 15.18 billion.

"Of the total 2024 Pilkada budget, most of the honorarium for the organizers is 46.9 percent; but from communication with Bappeda and the regional government budget team (TAPD) intensively quickly allocate the budget," said Ibah.

Meanwhile, Acting (Pj) Kulon Progo Regent Tri Saktiyana hopes that the budget budgeted budget of 40 percent of the 2023 Fiscal Year APBD can be managed properly.

"There should be no administrative errors that become political mistakes and are exaggerated into juridical mistakes. This must be observed and anticipated," said Saktiyana.
