Had Disconnected By PLN Because Of Rp381 Million In Arrears, Now Perumda Tirta Meulaboh Has Operated Normally

WEST ACEH - The West Aceh Regency Government managed to restore the clean water service of the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Tirta Meulaboh, after PT PLN had cut off electricity to the regional company. The management of the local PT PLN (Persero) cut off electricity due to arrears reaching Rp381 million. “Alhamdulillah, we have coordinated with PLN and PDAM Meulaboh. The solution has been obtained, PLN has returned to restore electricity to PDAM Tirta Meulaboh,” said West Aceh Regional Secretary, Marhaban in a statement received in Meulaboh, Antara, Thursday, May 4. Marhaban said the efforts to restore electricity to Perumda Tirta Meulaboh were carried out by the local government, in an effort to provide clean water services to thousands of customers in the area. He acknowledged that the restoration of clean water services to the community, according to the order of the Acting Regent of West Aceh, Mahdi Efendi, who asked the local government-owned clean water company to resume operations after the termination of the electricity line by PT PLN (Persero) Meulaboh since Tuesday (2/5). Acting Regent of West Aceh Mahdi said he had ordered the local Regional Secretary Marhaban to coordinate with PDAM and PLN Meulaboh, to resolve the issue of clean water services. "Alhmdulillah, everything acted quickly and measurably, until the issue of electric arrears was resolved," said Mahdi. Throughout Wednesday, he said, Perumda Tirta Meulaboh was trying to restore clean water supplies to customers and it is hoped that it can be resolved as soon as possible.
