Wamenkumham Calls Troubled Prison Handled By Kakanwil

Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham) Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej said that the handling of problematic correctional institutions and guards who showed off luxury was carried out by the head of the regional office (kakanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in each region. "Regarding everything, I think because during my visit to prisons so far, the guidance and partnerships that have been carried out are very good, in fact very helpful for prisoners; and I still haven't seen any further regarding these issues, because it still needs to be explored. The partnerships carried out by cooperatives and went well and were very helpful. Once again I don't answer that it's a matter of accusations, this is about reality and facts on the ground," he said. Meanwhile, on social media, information emerged about the condition of the inmates' residences, especially those convicted of drug cases, which were considered comfortable with the existence of wall paper, cupboards, mattresses, aquariums, and loudspeakers. The Twitter account @PartaiSocmed uploaded a number of photos containing inmates who lived comfortably at the Class I Detention Center in Bandung (Kebonwaru). In another upload, there is a picture of a prisoner, who is said to be the perpetrator of a fraud case, making sex video calls (VCS) with parties outside the prison with the aim of extortion. Previously, it was widely discussed on social media regarding the presence of guards at Rajabasa Prison, Lampung, Dhawank Delvi who often upload photos using luxury goods on his social media. Dhawank once posed on a Harley Davidson motorbike and a dirt bike.

Dhawank also appears to be taking pictures with someone holding some money. He is also called Umrah and his wife using a business class plane. Now, Dhawank has been removed from his job as a guards for Rajabasa prison, Lampung.
