Backflow For The Second Period Of Eid 2023 Today Is Still Sloping

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police said that the traffic conditions on the Kalikangkung Km 414 toll road to the West Karawang Toll Road Km 47 were monitored by land when the return flow for the second period of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

Meanwhile, the backflow for the second period is predicted to take place from April 29 to May 2, 2023.

"Currently it is still sloping, we are still doing normal two directions so there is no engineering," said Head of the Ops Section of the National Police Korlantas Kombes Eddy Djunaedi when confirmed, Saturday, April 29.

However, the Korlantas ranks will continue to check the situation of the Eid backflow periodically. So, if there is an increase in the vehicle traffic flow scheme, it will be implemented immediately.

"Hopefully the current will slow down today, but we will continue to monitor traffic counting through CCTV to revive the current and we can prepare for the next action," he said.

Meanwhile, the National Police previously noted that around 55.8 percent of Jakarta residents had not returned to their homes. Although, the 2023 Eid holiday has ended.

"55.8 percent (vehicles) have not returned," said Head of Traffic Police, Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi.

However, it did not specify the number of vehicles that had not returned to Jakarta. It was only conveyed that Operation Ketupat 2023 had been carried out which lasted until May 2.

Then, there are also Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) to prevent vehicle congestion when the peak of backflow occurs.

"So we will still see the development of the people who will return," he concluded.
