JAKARTA - The Sudanese Indonesian Student Association (PPI Sudan) said all Indonesian students in Sudan were safe amid a war situation between the Sudanese military (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
"It is not true that one Indonesian student in Sudan was shot and killed," said PPI Sudan in a written statement received by Antara in Jakarta on Thursday.
PPI revealed that until now the sound of gunfire was still being heard even though the intensity was gradually decreasing.
"Hopefully, this condition shows signs of de-escalation (decreasing) the intensity of attacks between the two parties," said PPI Sudan.
Despite signs of a decrease in the intensity of attacks, said PPI Sudan, all Indonesian students are not allowed to leave their homes or residences at any time.
If anyone has an urgent need to leave the house, PPI Sudan urges them to leave the house from 12.00 to 17.30 local time.
PPI Sudan said Indonesian students at the International University of Africa (IUA) consumed a makeshift menu, even relatively considered less than enough to break their fast.
