Strategy To Unravel Congestion Subscriptions Around Payaman Market

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked the Department of Transportation to alert officers at a congestion-prone point. The highlights of Ganjar at that time were Payaman Market and Secang Terminal on Jalan Raya Magelang-Semarang.

Density is also seen throughout Ganjar's journey from Semarang Regency to Magelang. The condition of the road that experiences a bottle neck or narrowing, causes a buildup of vehicles.

The same thing can be seen in the Payaman Market area. The market is right on the side of the highway, at certain hours causing traffic jams, because many sellers and market buyers are parked on the side of the road.

"This is because there is a market, then the road is not too wide. Second, there is a funeral, a pilgrimage place, it turns out that the pilgrimage can be up to 20 buses, so eat a road," said Ganjar after the review, Monday, April 17.

Ganjar, who was accompanied by his wife, Siti Atikoh, asked the sub-district head and local village head to communicate with the tomb manager.

"I ask that officers be installed here, so that it can be arranged. There is a road barrier that cannot exceed, earlier I asked the sub-district head and the village head to manage it," he said.

Ganjar hopes that they will coordinate with the tomb manager so that restrictions can be made on pilgrimage hours.

"So it means talking to the tomb manager so that it is limited to for example per 5 buses, later after leaving then changing, so that it can be placed in a rather sufficient parking lot," he said.

The two Central Java governors said that in a situation like this, all parties must be ready to take an emergency stance.

For this reason, Ganjar appealed to the regions to prepare traffic engineering early on, to prevent congestion.

"This emergency must be done. Otherwise, like this, we try to stop for a while, there will be a slowdown here. Then let it be engineered later," he said.
