The Mayor of Bogor, West Java, Bima Arya Sugiarto is committed to revitalizing the front rooms of the Salak Hospital building which was built in 1894 and scorched by a fire.

Bima Arya while inspecting the building of the pharmaceutical and medical checkup installation room together with Danrem 061 Surya Kencana Rudi Saladin, Saturday said he would allocate a budget to rebuild the old building spaces of Salak Hospital, a legacy of time before Indonesia's independence, which was burned to the ground.

The Bogor City Government will also not allow services at the Salak Hospital to be disrupted, so that the supply of medicines will be optimized by the local Health Office.

"There are two things that I think are of mutual concern. The first is that the service function should not be disrupted, the city government (Bogor) fully backs up the supply of medicines, then if there are patients who need to be transferred, we are ready. So the Health Office coordinates intensely with the Salak Hospital," said Bima.

Furthermore, Bima said, the second is to save cultural heritage, that the Bogor City Government agreed to conduct a forensic study of the building first by the Bareskrim Puslabfor Police Headquarters.

"Later on, we will study the results together, there we will see which buildings can be saved, which ones cannot be saved again and what the revitalization concept will be," he said.

Bima believes that the building of a row of rooms that functions as pharmacy installations, medical check-ups, physiotherapies to cooperative borders are cultural heritage because the design is still distinctive and written in 1894.

"This is because of the assets, yes, the cultural heritage (completed) is built) 1894, so as much as possible we can save it, what the design will be like, we will sit together, also discuss what the function is like. Once again, try to save as much as possible," explained Bima.

According to Bima, the Bogor City Government will wait for the results of a forensic investigation by the Criminal Investigation Center of the National Police Headquarters so that it will be seen which ones can be saved and which ones cannot be saved. The results of the examination will also clarify which buildings are cultural heritage and which are complementary buildings.

If the results come out of the Forensic Laboratory, he continued, coordination on the rebuilding of cultural heritage rooms at the Salak Hospital will immediately be coordinated with relevant agencies using the priority budget of the Bogor City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

"That's right (priority budget), I will coordinate with everyone, with the Danrem, Mr. Dandim, to accelerate this, to be our priority. The city government will be ready to allocate, something like that," concluded Bima Arya.
