TANGERANG Circulated leaflets originating from one of the community organizations (ormas) containing a request for Eid Al-Fitr (THR) Allowances. It is not yet known who the letter was addressed to, but this contradicts the appeal from the Tangerang Metro Police regarding the prohibition of mass organizations from asking for donations.

Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Sigit Dany Setiyono admitted that he had not received a criminal report on the alleged collection with the THR Idul Fitri mode. However, he appealed to residents who received the letter to report immediately.

"I order all Polsek ranks if they receive complaints from the public regarding the THR request with elements of extortion by certain elements or unscrupulous mass organizations, immediately follow up and take firm action," he said.

He added, in handling this, the police cannot work alone without the participation of the community. Therefore, if there are residents in their jurisdiction who are victims of THR extortion, it is hoped that they will not hesitate and are not afraid to immediately report to the officers.

"Please report it and don't hesitate, we will take firm action for THR extortionists," he concluded.
