TANGERANG - Head of the Tangerang City Transportation Service (Dishub), Achmad Suhaely, said that hundreds of inter-city inter-provincial (AKAP) buses at Poris Plawad Terminal were tested for feasibility or ramp. The test aims to ensure that vehicles that will transport thousands of travelers can function properly.

"We (the Tangerang City Transportation Agency) together with BPTJ conducted safety inspections to provide a sense of security and comfort for travelers, by paying attention to all bus vehicles related to the administration and technical matters and other supporting things," he said, at the Poris Plawad Terminal, Tangerang City, Tuesday, April 4.

Suhaely said that the feasibility test had been going on since March 28. The testing, he continued, so far there have been 109 vehicles being checked and the number will continue to grow.

"Today there are 10 and there are 4 that are not feasible. 109 vehicles that we are checking. Of course, it will continue to grow," he explained.

Suhaely explained, from the results of the checks carried out, there were no findings of violations or serious damage from the bus that would transport the travelers.

"Until now, not yet, only small findings can be corrected by the company," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Poris Plawad Terminal, Alwien Athena Alwi, said that the feasibility test was to provide early warnings, especially to buses that were operating. However, those who did not pass the check were asked by the Otobus (PO) companies to repair it before operating again.

"We checked all vehicles at the Poris Plawad Terminal, especially the initial departure from this terminal. The findings were only not fatal, such as the wiper not running, there were no glass solvers, but they could still be overcome," said Alwien.

Alwien added that currently there are 10 buses that have been tested for feasibility. "Of the 10 who did not pass the four buses test. We are asking those who did not pass for the time being to replace or repair them," he said.
